National Lottery Community Grant

We are pleased to announce that last week we were awarded a £10,000 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund This grant will be used to replace our WSBB van which is now the oldest vehicle in our fleet. The decision to replace our van comes at an important stage in WSBB's development plan. During the lockdown we started a new partnership with SWFT delivering chemotherapy treatment out to patients in their homes. Part of the agreement was that any deliveries would be made by car or van. We have now completed 4 weeks of our trial and so far it has been very successful. In this time we have have completed 27 deliveries and travelled 683 miles. Special thanks must go to Don (WSBB27) and Ge

It's Not Just About....

It's not just about blood and bikes! One of the most rewarding parts of our job is transporting baby milk to sick and premature babies. Donating breast milk is one of the most precious gifts that a woman can offer. Donated breast milk helps to save the lives of premature and sick babies whose mothers are unable, for many reasons, to provide them with sufficient breast milk of their own. On a weekly basis we visit a bunch of these fantastic ladies who donate their breast milk to the Milk Bank in Birmingham

New Service Announcement

Today is National Blood Bike Awareness Day A day when we celebrate all things great and good about the sector and promote the work that our team of volunteers do 24 hrs a day, 365 days of the year. WSBB has some exciting news about a new partnership they have been trialling in the community. In collaboration with the South Warwickshire Foundation Trust, we are now offering a collection and delivery service for chemotherapy patients so that they can receive treatment at their home. Being able to offer this new service is all thanks to our supporters and their kind donations

National Blood Bike Awareness Day 2020

Today is National Bloodbike Awareness Day. Unfortunately this year we have been unable to visit community groups due to the Covid restrictions. This has impacted greatly on our fundraising and at the moment we are having to rely on donations. Let's not forget that it is done free of charge, 24hrs a day, 365 days a year
