To celebrate the end of Volunteer Week 2020, I am pleased to announce that WSBB has been presented with a grant for £5000.
We are again indebted to WPH Charitable Trust for their second grant of £5,000 in response to WSBB's 2018 application for support in periodically renewing one of our fleet of Blood Bikes. The WPH Charitable Trust is dedicated to providing funding for individuals, groups and organisations to help prevent, relieve and cure sickness in Coventry and Warwickshire. The initial grant was a timely injection of cash which enabled WSBB to purchase it's third Yamaha FJR1300. Our treasurer at that time, Don O'Brien, said 'The charity is enormously grateful for the donation from the WPH Charitable Trust. It has enabled us to replace one bike immediately, and plan for the future with a known income stream for a further two years'. This second grant is just as welcome as the first, and will sit in the bank for a while, since our current fleet is proving reliable and trouble free, but we never know what's around the next corner!
The Committee and members of WSBB would like to thank Martin Young (WSBB7) who was key in securing the application for us. Keep your eyes peeled as we will shortly introduce our latest member of the fleet 🏍🏍🏍
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
