...paying it forward
Our charity has over 120 active members providing a range of roles to keep our bikes on the road and continue the service of providing cost-free transport services to our local hospitals.
Many of our volunteers have careers, personal commitments or are retired and our micro-volunteering approach allows all of our members to contribute their time in small chunks, working towards something much bigger than all of us!
...and giving back!
When we engage in selfless acts of service, we experience a profound sense of fulfilment, purpose, and joy. Volunteering allows us to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, fostering empathy and compassion.
It provides a chance to use our skills and talents in ways that contribute to a greater good, boosting our self-esteem and sense of self-worth. our work with local NHS trusts exposes us to new perspectives, challenges, and experiences, promoting personal growth and expanding our horizons.
Blood Bikers experience the highest form of altruism in the work that we do, every day. We welcome everyone to get in touch and find out how you can give back to your community.

What do our riders think?
After a long sabbatical from motorbikes (22 years!) I decided to get back into biking and as a thank you to the NHS after helping me through my cancer treatment and I wanted to say thank you on two wheels. My most memorable moment in the charity was completing an early hours job, seeing the surgeon waiting for me as I arrived to take the blood right into the theatre, I'll never forget that. I encourage anyone to join up and share the pride and the passion of the job!
